A post apocolyptic film about the adventures of a sexually active young man and a telepathic dog, "A Boy And His Dog" is farely average science fiction material. I mean, sure there's a telepathic dog, but other then that seeing the two title charactors wandering around a wasteland searching for food and dealing with desert raiders isn't quite the most origanal thing you've ever seen in your life. Of course when things begin to get a little strange (they capture the boy and hook him up to a machine designed to... er... forcebly collect semen so as to impregnate all the women in a underground city) somehow it manages to become stale. As far as comody goes, the film is not so much funny as just slightly humorous. The thing with the canniballism at the end was pretty funny, though...
