Clearly the best of the 'Better Tomorrow' series, I nonetheless found the film too uneven--was Woo going for an all-out action film or more of a drama with complex relationships? In any case, while I didn't really like the film as a whole, there's one amaaaaaazing action scene with Chow Yun-Fat shooting literally hundreds of bullets, one after another, and basically laying the smack down, and it's one continuous shot, with the camera never cutting away.

This alone is worth three stars.
