Here's simple, realist tale that tugs on the heart strings, but eschews overt sentimentality. "A Better Life" does for the plight of Latin American immigrant families what "The Bicycle Thief" did for the post WWII economic struggles of everyday Italian families.
"A Better Life" is an inciting, but pleasant, experience.
