Review of A Beautiful Mind (2001) by Chad E — 01 Aug 2011
Nobel Prize Winner John Forbes Nash Jr. suffers from schizophrenia and struggles to find his identity through the pursuit of an "original idea". In this pursuit his relationship with his wife and friends are deadened and his thoughts are dulled by the neurochemical imbalance that accompanies his disease.
While Crowe delivers an outstanding performance, one might wonder how much of the script was truly an "original idea".
