The first half is annoying. You can feel it trying to hard to do what it thinks a masterpiece would do, instead of what this movie should. Also, the female lead is annoyingly perfect.
After that, everything improves. The drama, his wife's character, the scenarios. And really, everything that happens in the first half is explainsed in the second. I reccomend starting there.
