Review of 90 Minutes in Heaven (2015) by War D — 14 May 2016
I watched this movie with my walker and my electric wheelchair next to me, together with my wife who is the caregiver in the world! My illness has no cure. .i won't heal like Don Piper. But the movie invigorated me and encouraged me, that heaven is for real.
I'll go there soon by God's grace. For those critics who want "action," and something "not boring," and who even remark that the movie was "90 Minutes in Purgatory," slow down! Concentrate on central themes in the movie.
1) physical pain is no picnic, 2) if we have others who share the pain.with us thru their patient and loving care, we are blessed; 3) thank God for the great medical personnel we have in the USA; and, 4) each of us will have our own moment when death arrives.
Don Piper was ready for his moment thru faith in Christ. I'm closer to it than ever before and have been captured by that same faith. So, while I tend to rate as "Zeros" low budget Christian movies with their dorky plots, sugary endings, and poor acting, not so with this one.
I'll probably watch it multiple times with family and friends.
