Review of 9 Songs (2004) by Vanessa P — 06 Jun 2008
Imdb says: "Matt, a young glaciologist, soars across the vast, silent, icebound immensities of the South Pole as he recalls his love affair with Lisa. They meet at a mobbed rock concert in a vast music hall--London's Brixton Academy.
They are in bed at night's end. Together, over a period of several months, they pursue a mutual sexual passion whose inevitable stages unfold in counterpoint to nine live-concert songs." Now the bands that play each of the nine songs are awesome bands like Primal Scream, Dandy Warhols, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Von Bondies and Elbow.
If you ignore the drama side of this movie, it pretty much looks like a live gig showing one song every 10 minutes of the movie, and the rest is made up of sex scenes. The movie contains real sex and all that jazz, but if you look into the emotion involved and the stages of their relationship, it is pretty good.
Most people will just watch it for the sex because the chick is pretty hot.
