Review of 9 Songs (2004) by Joe I — 26 May 2011
This movie somehow felt like it was being viewed from a very far away lens. I felt removed. The bad concert footage gave it this college home movie feel. Then there was the porn... OK! Two minutes of little character development, followed by 3 minutes of very graphic sex increasing in intensity all the way from fellatio to actual penetration that would make any good porn movie proud, followed by cut to Antarctica scenes that feel so out of place, followed by bad concert scene, followed by another scene of little character development.
.. rinse, repeat. I can see what they were trying to say but still... An extra half hour of character development would have helped.
