Review of 88 Minutes (2007) by Jez M — 17 Mar 2009
It's quite amazing to think that Al Pacino can star in a movie which goes thru theatres without anyone noticing. Now I have never seen a movie staring Al Pacino that I didn't enjoy and this is no exception.
This seems to boil down to a movie company simply not promoting their movie but this is a good movie. Al Pacino stars as a physiatrist working for the FBI. His psychological analysis is offering used in trials to help convict the accused of various cases based on theory and probability.
In this case he finds himself being accused of lying under oath and then receives a death threat telling him he has only 88 minutes to live. Beyond that the movie gives very little away and keeps you wondering will he make it? The only way to find out is to watch it.
