Review of 88 Minutes (2007) by Tomasan — 27 Aug 2009
88 Minutes was a decent psychological thriller to say the least. The film overall was a mess until about the last 35min of the movie. I would have to say that this was the longest t-minus minutes I have ever seen unfold in cinema history (with the exception of the show 24) Overall, Pacino saved the movie due to his always enjoyable performance.
The plot was all over the place. The rest of the casts acting was equivilent to an 88 minute long bowel movement! I do have to give this movie credit for creating clever suspense and ultimately bringing forth a good 'who dunnit' psych-thriller.
It's nothing next to films like 'Se7en','Nick of Time' or '8mm', but it is an enjoyable watch. 3 starz.
