Review of 88 Minutes (2007) by Ethan R — 06 Aug 2010

This movie isn't AWFUL, I liked it, I enjoyed it, but the filmmaking quality... isn't much. The script and the dialouge are awful and a lot of it just makes no sense. The idea behind it is good but they try it make it too extravagant, when it should have been kept simplistic.

Cast is good though, Al Pacino's bad ass as always and Alica Witt and Leelee Sobieski have some pretty good roles too, but it's not enough to salvage the awful script. Plus, although there were some good actors, the characters, most of them at least, lacked depth.

But, like I said, it is entertaining and pretty exciting with some good action. If you like an action flick where you don't have to do much thinking and don't have to worry about things making sense, this definitely isn't a bad watch.
