Review of '71 (2014) by Charles B — 25 Jul 2015
Absolute cracker of a thriller, propelled by inexorable tension. No political views hinder identification with the far-from-hapless protagonist, a blank-slate thrust into an inferno about which he knows nothing.
This is one of the best and simplest films about being in sheer physical peril that I have seen. Enemy territory has never felt so visceral.
