Review of 7 Days in Entebbe (2018) by Ray H — 29 Mar 2018
Very weak story that is poorly filmed and told. The film is built around 2 German terrorists. We learn almost nothing about their motives. Their Arab co-conspirators are equally undeveloped. The Arab group leader seems perfectly willing to kill innocent hostages.
We learn almost nothing about his personal motives. There are almost no characters developed out of the 200+ hostages. Idi Amin is said to be crazy and murderous; but we see almost no development of his character.
The rescuers and the final successful raid is almost anti-climatic. We have little personal info about them and so, little reason to care that much about them individually. The film was not very well thought out.
