Review of 6 Years (2015) by Drew M — 21 Sep 2015
Wow, wasn't expecting this to be as half as good as it was. The moment I saw the Duplass brothers as producers, I got a little giddy lol. The films strongest suit is its acting. Whoever that main actor who out Yelchin-ed, Anton Yelchin, is going to have a great and prosperous career in front of him.
Very, very sincere performance from him. Taissa is also uniformly good. It's shot well and the soundtrack is on point. The melodrama is a little rampant, but it's spoken and acted so truthfully that it definitely transcended the genre's biggest tropes.
Also looking forward to seeing what this Director does next; Her sensibilities are my aesthetic.
