There are a ton of bad movies out there, but then again, a lot of good ones. There are lots of good movies out there, but then again, there are some great ones. There are some great movies out there, but then again, there are even less fantastic ones.

This movie is neither bad, good, or great...yes, it was fantastic! (500) Days of Summer is a clevor and heart-felt romantic-comedy that had me bringing up all emotions. It was interestingly directed and had a very nice and original idea (which is great with all of the terrible rom-com cliche's out there, especially now).

The way of telling the story was very interesting and new and it's script was fantastic. There were a lot of cool stylistic choices in it, nut the storyline also brought something to the table. In a way it was a love story, and in a way it wasn't.

WARNING, there are gonna be spoilers here. In regular romantic-comedies the boy meets the girl, they get together, the girl leaves him, then the boy does something crazy and spontaneous to get her back after he figures out he's in ove with the girl.

Well in this movie, that didn't happen. The Boy (Joe Gordon-Levitt) meets the girl (Zooey Deschanel), they get together, then the girl leaves the boy, and when the boy tries to convince the girl that they are in love, it doesn't happen.

It's over and there's nothing the boy can do about it. He figures this out after he sees that shes engaged and he runs out of her life. It isn't the happiest of endings, but he finds out later on that she's happy when they run into each other and he discovers that she wan't the one after all.

She tells him about how they met and tells him that she now believes in destiny like him (which she doubted before). That was destiny, it wasn't destiny for Joe and Zooey to be together. (500) Days of Summer is a charming tale of boy meets girl and it can't possibly be told better.

The directing is fantastic, the writing is awesome, and the acting is great (what would you expect from my bor Gordon-Levitt). A really great movie that I highly recommend.
