(500) Days of Summer is a super charming, super funny, bittersweet, and honest look at a relationship, one that never relies on genre cliches. Joseph Gordon Levitt and Zooey Deschanel give outstanding performances in this romantic comedy.
The story is told in non-linear form, which may have caused an uneven feel to the movie, but that is never the case in (500) Days of Summer. The movie always moves forward, delivering a powerful, heartbreaking statement about modern love and relationships.
