Review of 50/50 (2011) by Rory R — 20 Nov 2012
It expresses such a tough but very relevant subject that we are all familiar with with the greatest respect. Everything about this film feels very genuine and explores the subject thoroughly exposing the hurt that it causes the person but also the people around them.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt puts in a remarkable performance really reaching the dark places when needed, and in the end produced one of the best performances I've seen. The whole cast was good, especially Seth Rogen who helped shine some light on the film topic using his trademark comedy techniques.
Overall great film, sad when required and funny at the most appropriate times.
