Joseph Gordon-Levitt was cheated out of an Oscar nomination. For a comical look at the uncertain battle against cancer, this is a rough movie. It is especially rough if you've ever lost someone to it.
Rogen and Gordon-Levitts' comical friendship provides just enough cushion to keep the movie from becoming too grim. Anjelica Huston has only a few minutes screen time, but manages to make her turn memorable and all too realistic.
