Review of 50/50 (2011) by Mark S — 24 Sep 2013
Seth Rogen stars in dramedy about cancer. Seems like familiar territory, but "50/50" feels like a better movie overall when compared with "Funny People." It's not a deep story in any way, but it's a realistic look at a young man's battle with cancer (with a cliche romantic subplot added in for good measure.
) It's not jaw-dropping or life-changing, but it's well-paced and never comes across as mean-spirited or overtly sarcastic.
