Georgian Hollywood-alike propaganda about the war in South Ossetia in 2008. Large budget, lots of explosions and intense war scenery, experienced actors like Andy Garcia (makes a portrait of Georgian president Saakashvili as the innocent lamb, dressed in a president suite and with Dean Cain (Clark Kent in Lois & Clark from 1993) as advisor) and the famous director Renny Harlin and so on. The problem is that the movie does not reflect history as we know it. This is an attempt to rewrite history, making it look like everything started when Russia invaded Georgia (In this movie the Georgian initial invasion of South Ossetia and the subsequent shelling of Tskhinvali never take place). Instead - in the movie you get to see Georgian nationalism at its peak, also some dramatic scenes of South Ossetia paramilitary henchmen (however in the movie speaking Russian?) caring out war crimes, supposedly Russian airplanes firing rockets on random villages and other civil targets etc. Also Russian T-72B tanks but used by the same flagless Russian-speaking mercenaries. Pointless, random and brainless.

However the movie will probably have a serious impact anyway, since most people in Western Europe and the US does not know the history of the war of South Ossetia. So, if you couldnâ(TM)t care less about the history of things and just love to hate Russia, this flick is totally for you!
