Review of 5 Card Stud (1968) by Ben R — 16 Feb 2009
This is a good Western with solid performances by Dean Martin, Robert Mitchum, Yaphet Kotto, and Roddy McDowell. The rapid pace suspense is nicely balanced with the suave and cool demeanor of Martin's character--a professional gambler.
The plot twist is interesting and unique, but perhaps unsurprising for a film from the late 60's.
