Eddie Murphy is funny and charming in this movie because it's 80's Eddie Murphy. The film is rather short, however, and speeds up and slows down in pace erratically. Additionally, words cannot describe how I loath Nick Nolte, so just take my word for it.
He's hard to take for even the short time of this movie, and he's never believable as a hero.
