Review of 48 Hrs. (1982) by Wormwood B — 07 Feb 2010
When a convict (James Remar) is freed by his Indian friend (Sonny Landham), a tough cop (Nick Nolte) teams up with a criminal (Eddie Murphy) that can help him find them.
Nole and Murphy are good together, but I'm not sure why Nolte even needs Murphy, since he seems to bump into the bad guys with or without him. Plus when the bad guys aren't shooting people, they are getting with Call Girls. So I'm sure a call girl could have led Nolte right to the criminals Still, the movie isn't bad, but better 80's cop thrillers were made afterwards. If you never seen 48 HRs, I recommend it if you liked movies like Lethal Weapon and Beverly Hills Cop. Just don't expect it to be better than them.
