Review of 48 Hrs. (1982) by Guye J — 31 Jul 2014
I'm not sure why this film was so popular. There doesn't seem to be anything special about it and the much vaunted "chemistry" between the two leads seems more like loathing until it suddenly and inexplicably turns to respect.
And the level of casual racism and abuse with no sort of self-awareness is a little disturbing from this distance in time.
