Review of 47 Meters Down (2017) by Caleb W — 22 Jun 2017

47 Meters Down isn't as terrible as the trailers make it out to be, but it's still pretty bad. The performances aren't great in the film. Mandy Moore does nothing but scream and panic for an hour and a half.

Claire Holt isn't bad though. The film has a couple moments of tension that work pretty well. Some scenes underwater are entertaining. Unfortunately, the premise runs thin after a while. The setup is generic, and when they get down in the cage, it starts getting boring pretty fast.

Also, the film has a twist that is very predictable. I figured it out really fast. Overall, the film is utterly forgettable. It does nothing to stand out from any other generic shark movie.
