Subtle, powerful and compelling. Beautifully played by all involved. The East Anglian countryside is used to great effect to reflect the sombre but gentle mood. A subtle touch in the directing was the way that events often happened just out of shot - out of reach - like the hidden baggage which both the main characters carry.
