Review of 45 Years (2015) by Andie M — 29 Mar 2018
So boring. Nothing happens. They're slightly annoyed at each other because something comes up about an old flame who died 50 years ago, but that barely gets discussed. It's the best bit of storyline, but it doesn't develop.
Then there's a lot of Kate just doing life. Running errands, walking her dog, driving. They have a disagreement. Sort of. They appear annoyed again. Then they go to their anniversary party. The end.
So little happens I started to wonder if it was just regular people going about their own boring lives. But no, it's actually a scripted piece of work. I wanted to give up, but kept watching simply because of the previous good ratings here, so I felt compelled to give my own opinion.
