45 Years was a surprisingly excellent film. I saw it's trailer at a studio Ghibli festival and wrote it off as a pretentious movie but I was dead wrong. the performances are outstanding especially Charlotte Rampling to which she has rightfully earned an oscar nomination and it told a really engaging and interesting story about long term relationships.
it's not for everyone particularly its slow pace but if you like a movie told visually with excellent dialogue to back it up this is one for you.
