Review of 4.3.2.1 (2010) by Mike M — 25 May 2010
This clueless, lumberingly paced caper - about a quartet of young London girls who get caught up in Crime - can boast international jewel thieves who stash their booty in Pringles cans, and a Mexican standoff between Emma Roberts and Michelle Ryan, the case in question being reported on by none other than Ben Shepherd, late of "GMTV".
Street it may be; cred it most certainly is not... Clarke remains a useful, likable actor, as his appearance in last week's "Heartless" underlined, but this soulless, masturbatory affair further confirms the industry chatter about him being the saviour of the British film industry is almost total nonsense.
"4.3.2.1" isn't a film, but a series of poses and soundtrack choices arrived at in marketing meetings: some day, when branding consultants rule the Earth, all films will be made this way.
