Review of 4.3.2.1 (2010) by Aslyn E — 17 Oct 2010
I was expecting much better from Noel Clarke. The urban specialist director had 2 solid films in kidulthood and adulthood and then takes the quality bar down a notch with this Pulp Fiction style attempt.
It's basically 4 stories about 4 girl over 3 days (2 Cities etc.) guess what? there are links in their story!!!!! it's not a clever as it things it is. Just becuase you mention the same bank heist in each story doesn't mean it's linked.
I found the characters unlikeable as well, especially the lesbian. What it does have in it's favour is that it's easy to watch and has one or two sharp scenes spinkled about. Ending was weak. Don't go into this film with high hopes and you should be fine.
