40 Years in the making....is a delightful, sweet documentary in the tradition of "Searching for Sugarman" about one fan's desire to reunite his favorite band for one last show. In this case, that fan is TV executive Lee Aronsohn who cocreated Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory.

The band is Magic Music, who had a moment in the 70s but never released an album, and now we find out why. The film is a fascinating look at intra-band politics (even with a bunch of hippies!) how people change or stay the same after being in a band that heavily influenced their life, and the effect that music has on us.

It's a feel-good movie coming at a time when we could use it, and the music is surprisingly fantastic.
