Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Richie R — 10 Jan 2009
One of those rare films that manages to be very simple and very complex at the same time. Opting for minimalist realism and shot with a sparse, no-frills style - it's the realistic atmosphere that makes it so harrowing and intense.
Deep, multi-layered characters and superb performances, this is a film about the emotions that are boiling beneath the surface. There are a few scenes that go on too long, and the pacing might be too slow for some, but this is an excellent film.
