Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Tera M — 24 Feb 2009
This movie is every bit of horror that you'd enjoy. It portrays a time of difficulty in Bucharest, when two best friends decide to plunge into a dark decision of terminating one of their accidental pregnancy.
The odds are all on the worst side, because they cant do it legally. Hence they take the help of a quack-doctor abortion specialist who'd help them, if they parted with something so dear to them. Anamaria Marinca as the best friend who goes to the ends of suffering to make her friend's decision a reality and protects her in every way, is the pillar of the movie.
Her acting is so real, as if no one was shooting her in action. Laura Vasiliu as the pregnant confused, weak victim, makes breaks our heart with her emotive spectacle and Vlad Ivanov as the opportunist, evil doctor with a heart of the darkest plays his character so well, we'd feel almost ripping at the screen when he's on it.
Blissfully shot, perfectly written and elegantly darkly photographed, this movie can only be written of as the most horrific real horror movie in the last five years, that would actually make your heart beat faster, palms sweat and ultimately makes you gasp.
A must watch.
