Review of 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (2007) by Lorenzo V — 17 Jul 2009
This is a story that was really hard for me to comprehend...Some of the actions taken in the course of the film border on moral dilemma - the "Would I or someone I know do this?" question kept coming back.
..There isn't any thriller element to this film but a cold treatment to the subject of abortion - something condoned severely in communist Romania in the 70s...BE WARNED- this movie could be too much for those who're uncomfortable with the concept of abortion.
..The brightest magic of this film is the immensely talented cast, particularly Ivanov, who played the role of the conniving black market abortionist so perfectly that you'll find yourself hating his guts.
