Just not of the same caliber as his House of 1000 corpses films. Saw the advanced screening of 31 tonight. Rob Zombie's body of work as a whole is hugely impressive, I'm certainly a long time fan.
That being said, this film just felt juvenile and cliche. Doom head was an enjoyable character, and the sets and effects were all well done, but overall I wasn't on the edge of my seat for this film.
That mechanised marionette show was mesmerizing, probably my favorite element of 31 actually.
