Review of 300: Rise of an Empire (2014) by James D — 19 Aug 2014
Been patiently waiting for years for this sequel to finally arrive! "300" has been one of my favorite action films for years. Although "300: Rise of an Empire" isn't nearly as great as the original, you still get the bloody, stylized violence you fell in love with.
With many characters returning from the first, and many new faces you'll love, the acting isn't all that bad, even if the dialogue written is pretty poor. You go to see this one for the violence, sex, blood, and screaming, let's all be honest.
It's a great popcorn movie, and it should have been known before watching. So go in with an open mind, and you'll have fun watching it. 3/5 JD.
