Review of 300 (2007) by Gabriel H — 11 May 2013
The plot was, surprisingly, not awful, and the acting was good, plus, it had iconic one-liners (THIS IS SPARTA!!!). It was over-the-top, but I tend to like that. The major problems with it were the strange costume design and the fact that it completely overlooked what actually allowed the Spartans to survive so long.
They STAYED IN FORMATION! They worked together to make an all but impenetrable barrier with their huge shields and thick armor. They didn't dive individually into hordes of Persians with nothing but a thong and a cape!
