Review of 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010) by Adam E — 30 Oct 2010
Not bad, not bad at all. The first 30 days of night was a cracking adaption of the comic book and had just the right level of chills and gore to keep us entertained till the end. This sequel is also based on the sequel graphic novel called dark days and from what I can remember its a pretty decent adaption.
The lead from the first film returns here (played by a different actress) who does a decent enough job. The rag tag go of vampire killers do look like wanna be slayers from blade 3 but its harmless enough fun.
You can see whats going to happen for the most part (thou the ending is great) but its gorey enough and thou most of the cast are there to be murdered you dont feel like you wanna poke out your eyes watching them.
More a bit of horror pop corn fun really that comes and goes and provides a giggle or to. The main problem is the lead vampire lilith is ......well a bit shite to be honest. Not scary, sexual alluring or that interesting she just pops up every now and again to kill someone then slopes off.
Anyway its silly fun either way :).
