Review of 30 Days of Night: Dark Days (2010) by Brad G — 15 Nov 2010
The first film was by no means a great horror epic, but it was a solid siege picture with some fairly monstrous non-glittery, non-pouty vampires laying waste to a hapless Alaskan town. This boring follow-up ditches the gimicky all-night-all-the-time scenario, replaces tough Melissa George with wimpy Kiele Sanchez (I just can't buy her going toe to toe with any bloodsucker and not coming out mutilated), and just goes on and on with the same old action routine.
Nothing memorable, kinda pathetic direct-to-dvder. VF.
