Review of 3 Women (1977) by Alex H — 07 Feb 2012
Despite brilliant performances from the leads, a strange and compelling scenario (supposedly literally dreamed up by Altman - as good a method for idea fishing as any I suppose), and a detailed script that flows naturally, I still found the arty psych drama 3 Women something of a chore to watch.
In the end it just seemed to add up to less than the sum of its parts. But it certainly casts a unique spell and I'll want a revisit someday.
