Review of 3 Men and a Little Lady (1990) by Timm S — 07 Aug 2013
Not a patch on the original, mainly because of the paint-by-numbers plot and because Ardolino doesn't have Spock's skill with comedic timing. Yet the chemistry between the four title characters is still sublime, both in the comedic and more dramatic moments (most of the latter involve Selleck).
Poor old Guttenburg is underused, but Danson is a real standout here, he gets some golden material and channels his most famous character but actually magnifies Sam Malone's narcissism, immaturity and heart.
Not a great movie, but still worthy of the classic original. And the English cliches and Brit-bashing have to be seen to be believed.
