Review of 3-Iron (2004) by Richard H — 31 Jan 2008
Eh.. 3-Iron? It's why the two main characters meet... Does anyone really knows or see where a golf ball is till it lands? Is someone really playing by the rules?
A very abstract method of basic "exposition, conflict, resolution" storyline. (Breaking into houses, the capture, the escape.).
The directing and camera work is phenomenal. Beats any other "real ghost" special effects technique. Colors black and white.
The character bleeds, but the mischievous smirk on face, the lifeless expression on hers. Their own reality inside other people's realities without notice or care. Prisons & coffins. One's real home. How a ghost begins conflict. How kind a ghost can be and how frightening.
I debate whether the first and second half of the movie transition well, but definitely a great and abstract film.
