Review of 3-Iron (2004) by Steve H — 03 Mar 2012
Fascinating movie with little words of dialogue.Makes you curious to stay till the end, but it's a one time watch just to see what happens. If I was to be highly critical, i'd say there comes a point in the film where the two main characters HAVE to speak.
...and they don't. Logic is thrown out of the window. People do things that just wouldn't happen in the real world. And if you find what they found in one house, then you DON'T hang around and do the cleaning! I thought it was an unusual film of good quality, that was a bit silly in places.
I was wondering all possibilities as I watched this - Are they mute? Are they deaf? Are they ghosts? Is the guy nuts? Why does she like him? And what's with the obsessive cleaning disorder? How did the guy even manage to buy his motorbike when he can't utter a word? There are many questions that have no answers.
....But, is it a good film? Yes. Worth seeing, and leaves you thinking of the possibilities.....
