Review of 3 Idiots (2009) by Dharmamitra S — 29 Jul 2012
My favorite Bollywood flick that I've seen thus far. Aamir Khan is gold in this expertly made screenplay, and his supporting cast delivers as well. The majority of the movie is told through flashbacks, with the story taking place in the present also being given adequate screen time and being just as interesting.
'3 Idiots' will also connect strongly to viewers who are of college age, as the film deals heavily in themes of education, school stress, and social bonds formed during college years. Overall, '3 Idiots' soars and makes only a single significant misstep (the blackout delivery scene), proving it deserves the title of highest grossing Bollywood movie of all time.
