Review of 28 Weeks Later (2007) by Jeff S — 04 Dec 2011
A worthy sequel to the original 28 Weeks Later, and you'll find the same formula of blood, gore, and terror here. The film again sends the message that there are never any easy answers, and I again I found myself struck and amazed by the sheer enormity of everything, but I guess when you score in the box office like this series does, you can afford it.
Seriously, though, would it kill them to hire a half-decent staff or writers to actually develop a plot and some interesting characters?? Without the amazing directing and special effects, there'd really be nothing special about this film, and certainly nothing memorable.
