I personally don't find this movie scary, but it's definitely my favorite zombie flick simply in terms of how raw, gory, and faintly realistic it seems. The plot is constantly shifting and takes you around a lot of turns in a chaotic yet entertaining way, and at times I really could feel for the characters.
28 Days Later is entertaining, gritty, grisly, and does a great job at showing 'normal' characters during such an apocalypse.
