Review of 27 Dresses (2008) by Tom V — 13 Nov 2012
I personally found this average run of the mill humdrum romantic comedy to be nothing special. But my wife enjoyed it, and I guess she is more the audience than I. It follows all the typical plot points, girl seemingly loves one guy, but meets a new guy who she doesn't like at first but then she begins to but oh no he did something earlier in the movie that she doesn't like and it ends their relationship but luckily in the end love conquers all and they get back together! Does it strike anyone else that these films have a sort of fill in the blank quality to them? Why not just watch the same movie over and over again instead of constantly shelling out more money for the same thing in a different dress, even if it has 27 of them.
Clearly I am not the audience for this.
