Review of 25th Hour (2002) by Hugo S — 15 Oct 2010
I kind of feel this was different to your typical American film. It lacked excess, and that was what won me. I watched this on DVD, and the one thing I noticed was the DVD menu intro and it's relationship with the film's final scene.
It reminded me of Wong Kar-wai's Days Of Being Wild - an opening scene with no context, finally makes sense at the end. It is everything then. I loved that.
