Review of 24 Hour Party People (2002) by Bill B — 11 Jan 2012
Gave this one a re-watch recently, thank you for the cheap DVD's Big Lots.
I enjoy the breaking of the 4th wall as Steve Coogan addresses the audience to fill in details about who certain players are or their significance to the later story, it's a very fun and clever technique to employ to avoid too much exposition on the part of the characters.
I really like this film, and would recommend it to any music fan, as it gives a great history lesson if you're a fan of new wave and techno music from the late '80s and early '90s.
Recommended.
