Review of 23 Blast (2014) by Greg S — 19 Oct 2014
This movie was previewed at a football camp my son attended. It's a very good movie. Unlike many sports movies the editing is good and the story moves along well without lulls. It's hard not to get choked up watching this film, imagining what Travis's life must have been like going from20-20 vision to total blindness in 2 days, then the time of Travis isolating himself, then his resurgence with the love and support of his family and others close to him.

It's hard not to get choked up watching this film, imagining what Travis's life must have been like going from20-20 vision to total blindness in 2 days, then the time of Travis isolating himself, then his resurgence with the love and support of his family, friends, coaches and one persistent rehabilitation specialist.
During the preview, we had the privilege of meeting Travis, his parents, the director and other people associated with telling Travis's story. This along with the fact there are "real people" actors in this movie add to its credibility as a first rate sports movie.
I highly recommend 23 Blast.
